Angelina Idun

Director of School Improvement, SSAT

Angelina has over 35 years of experience in education and joined SSAT (The Schools, Students, and Teachers network) as a director in 2017, following roles as Acting Principal and Senior Vice Principal. She leads a team that designs and delivers professional development, training, and school improvement support. With extensive experience developing teachers and leaders at every stage and across all phases, both nationally and internationally, she is also an ILM Level 7 qualified coach.

Her career has been driven by an unwavering belief in the difference that a high-quality learning experience can make to the life chances of children and young people, along with a passion for serving diverse communities in challenging contexts. Championing inclusive environments that reflect and celebrate diversity is at the heart of her leadership approach.

Angelina is honoured to join the Teaching Commission and work alongside fellow commissioners to address the challenges of teacher recruitment and retention. By making teaching a more attractive and sustainable career, she believes that we can transform the system in ways that empower both teachers and students.
